Lily: “Tiffans! Often, I wonder where Tiffany gets her ideas. With Annette’s Flower Shop even more so, especially considering the story has a female protagonist.”
Liam: “Romance, beach-movie nostalgia, business troubles, and local politics. That’s quite a bouquet. Sorry—I had to.”
Lily: “That’s actually funny, Liam. It’s true there’s that unmistakable sun-soaked 1950s beach-movie charm. It’s hard to miss with the names Annette Fanicello and Frankie Alavon.”
Liam: “Add surfboards, hot rods, flower arrangements—and then a city council meeting. I came for the Malibu sunshine and got municipal drama. Somehow, it all belongs in the same story.”
Lily: “It does! Annette’s fight to save her shop gives the story its heart, and the quiet family-diner scene with Frankie is such a lovely pause amid all the chaos. She’s determined to build a life on her own terms, and I love how the story lets her be complicated, funny, and resilient.”
Liam: “And let’s not forget the steamy bits: surfing, back seats, drive-ins, Tiffany taps into every nostalgic male desire here.”
Lily: “Well, maybe even the female desires as well!”
Liam: “You mean, two, wait, three boyfriends? Or is it four? And somehow this is not a reverse harem.”
Lily: “It isn’t but it comes close. I wonder why Tiffany wrote this?”
Liam: “You know what, I asked her. And this is what she said: ‘This 1950s story could not have been anything else than about an independent florist and a dorky city hall clerk.’ Tiffany is right… I don’t mind that beach naughtiness at all!”
Lily: “As usual, our favorite authors fills in the atmosphere with all the right details, from the slang, the cars, to the night club. On top of that, the story is grounded in her fun small town setting.”
Liam: “We’ve noticed before how those Steamy Holiday stories show her experimenting. I like them a lot, although I do prefer series more.”
Lily: “Agree. I want Tiffany to keep surprising us this way, but I also like for her to give us more of all those other worlds she’s created.”
Liam: “It makes me wonder what her next Holiday story will be about, because it could literally be about anything.”
Lily: “Any requests?”
Liam: “Mermaids and fembots are always fine with me! I wonder if Tiffany would attempt a monster girl story?”
Lily: “Tiffans! Keep those ideas for Steamy Holidays coming.”
Liam: “Yes, we love coming on Holidays…”
Lily: “Liam!”
Liam: “What!? Stay tuned for more updates from your co-presidents!”
