Marjorie blushed and hid it by looking down. She noticed that the slits in his coat could easily give her access to his trousers. She wondered how he would react?

“Are you offering to do something about that, my lord?” Marjorie asked giving him a coy glance.
It was his turn to blush.

In Tremayne’s Harem Adventures, Chastity captures Temperance to interrogate her.

“Where am I?” Temperance attempts innocently.

But the machine cuts her short: “You are Temperance Darleston. You are Elijah Tremayne’s mistress. You attempted to seduce Alan as well. And now you are here, on my ship docked in London Orbital Station. You have nowhere to go. So, you will tell my Alan what he wants to know.”

“I did more than attempt to seduce him, don’t you think?” Temperance teases. “He didn’t seem all that sorry about that last night either.”

Lily and I – although reluctantly – think we should add men to our overview of characters so to avoid a parade of boobies (what’s wrong with that?). This is Parkes plotting:

Calming himself, he has to decide what to do next given his current situation. Charlotte Tremayne’s death was a terrible accident. It was Elijah who accepted Parkes’ invitation and it was Elijah who lied to his wife about it. Certainly, he may have been nudged by Temperance Darleston, but it was still his choice to lie to his wife after cheating on her. Even when Temperance says she was hired by Parkes, it was still Elijah’s choice to lie to his wife. At worst, Parkes can be accused of ruthlessness. And he has that reputation already. So, who cares about that? More and more, it will look like Elijah is responsible for his wife’s unfortunate fate.

He has a pencil mustache, otherwise I could see him twirling it.

“Alan, what’s gotten into you?”

He whispers back, “I’m more concerned with what is getting into you now…”
