Miri-Na-Rū

Tiffans!

Meet the perceptive businesswoman Miri-Na-Rū from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Miri-Na-Rū

That first encounter between Finch and Miri is a beautiful example of a slow seductive dance.

Finch sees the statuesque woman frown ever so slightly. Then he notices the device over her eye, like one of the screens in the Alder and Simmix base, but a lot smaller. Finch can only conclude they are definitely another group of star people.

Miri controls her surprise. The negolens just revealed the truth about Emperor Norton: a former businessman who lost his senses after total bankruptcy. Then who is Finch? The negolens crunches the available data and concludes that a) he’s here to rescue Norton, b) he must be some kind of friend, and c) he is very diplomatic. He managed to get Miri to agree to the emperor’s departure without having to explain his true nature. Doing so would have pained Norton too much. Now this is something Miri can respect. But why isn’t there more information about him? “Mr Finch. I hope to meet with you and the emperor another time. We apologize for any misunderstanding.”

The Simmix translator in Finch’s head flashes an appropriate phrase for goodbye. He salutes Miri. “Gol teph te lo reth, Miri-Na-Rū. Until our paths cross in prosperity.”

It’s been a very, very long time since Miri felt a chill crawl down her back. And this young man with a boyish, honest face did this to her.

Can’t wait to find out what happens next, Tiffans!

Tady-Lic 12♥

Tiffans!

Meet quick-thinking fembot Tady-Lic 12♥ from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Tady-Lic might be the only member of the group whose manual includes a “heroic entrance” mode.

Elizaveta is horrified. Tady-Lic is falling. In mid-air she sees her throw Audrey up.

Error signals warning and blinking, Tady-Lic’s body absorbs the landing with a mechanical whine and groan. Looking up, she dashes ahead and pushes herself off a rock.

Shonali can’t believe the fembot catches the pale girl, then manages to come down on her feet.

Audrey’s face is bright with excitement.

Audrey’s face says it all…

Tiffans!

Meet the formidable Eljamit ult Louki from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Eljamit Ult Louki

The Marshall has a diplomatic style that is very much her own.

Eljamit can’t believe it! Finch is offering her the Simmix, all of Trirrox!

She remained standing while he sat on the couch in her ready room explaining his plans. It took her full concentration not to throw herself at his military genius. With an inner smile, she brings up an old Simmix custom, no one ever heard of.

“In the dark ages of Trirrox, when leaders met in frank deliberation, they found only one way to prove their honesty.”

Eljamit removes her jacket, her shirt, her trousers, her underclothes. She motions Finch to follow her example.

Hmm, Tiffans… What do you think? Does Eljamit have ulterior motives?

Tiffans!

Meet the fiercely loyal Tandarine ult Akorebi from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Tandarine Ult Akourebi

I love how they were suddenly meant for each other.

“Why were you scared?”

“I was afraid I would never see you again. That hurt me more than I expected. I think we are at war, and I don’t want to lose you.”

“You don’t think I’m a good warrior?”

“I think you don’t have to go to war alone.”

Tandarine froze. Finch wondered what happened. Finally, she asked: “Do you want me to go into battle with you?”

Finch could hear that the question was important to her in some way, and so was his answer. “Tandarine, we already are.”

A first tear trickled down her cheek. She kissed him with more fervor than before. “Oh, Finch, you don’t know how much this means to me.” She kissed him again. Finch kissed her back.

The next day, Tandarine told him that when a Simmix man asks a Simmix woman to go into battle with him, they are bonded for life.

What do you think, Tiffans? A match made in between the stars?

Constantia Philpott

Tiffans!

Meet the determined Constantia Philpott from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Constantia Philpott

Looks like this Pinkerton detective has one case she can’t solve with a badge.

After dinner that evening, the others discretely leave Finch and Constantia in the sitting room.

“Uhm… How was your day, Finch?” Constantia kicks herself for using this clumsy come on.

“I’m happy to see that Audrey and you have settled in well at Borden Hall.”

“I love it! I mean, Audrey loves it here… I can’t tell you how much this means to us that you invited us to live here… with you.”

“Thank you. How was your day, Miss Philpott?”

Constantia won’t be side tracked.

“Finch… I-I’m falling for you. You’ve given me so much, done so much for Audrey and me, and my parents…”

“I’m not expecting anything in return, Constantia.”

“I know, and I guess that’s why. I really don’t know how to explain it. Do you care for me at all? I mean, you’re busy, there are all the others…”

Finch takes her hand. “You’ve been a part of me since the day we met. Without you, I feel incomplete.”

“Oh…”

Finch kisses her. After her eyes flutter open again, she stands, takes his hand, and leads him to his room.

Who wouldn’t want the evening to end like this?

Charlotte Huntington

Tiffans!

Meet the sharp-witted socialite Charlotte Huntington from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Her poise can survive almost anything.

“At the men’s shop, Charlotte blushed when she bought Finch’s drawers. She was sure the salesman was making her deliberately uncomfortable when he asked about the required crotch size. With a stiff lower lip, she managed to reply it was bigger than his.”

A little flustered, a lot quick-witted—that’s Charlotte. What’s your favorite moment with her?

Lydia Norton

Tiffans!

Meet the boldly flirtatious Lydia Norton from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

The ballroom may have rules, but Lydia knows how to keep a gentleman on his toes.

Being taller than Lydia, Finch has to make sure not to look down her décolleté too much. Her dress is exquisite: crafted from lustrous silk, its voluminous skirt cascading in soft folds, crowned by a delicately scooped neckline adorned with lace, floral appliqués, and tiny pearls. Off-the-shoulder sleeves trimmed with gentle ruffles enhance the romantic allure. “That this ball is a success is thanks to you, Imperial Highness.”

Lydia lowers her eyes bashfully, knowing full well the effect that has on men in general, and Finch in this moment. That he addresses her through her imaginary title gives her a delightful frisson.

“And may I say how lovely you are in this dress.”

“Mr. Finch, if you keep complimenting me like this, I may have to follow you home.”

I wonder if Finch stepped on her toes after she said that!

Shonali

Shonali
~ Lily Chen

Tiffans!

Check out fierce and beautiful Shonali of the Teshoni from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Liam and I both wanted to do this one. Shonali is such a wondeful character in the Prospector Finch’s Harem Adventures. In Star People, she gives Finch traditional Teshoni wedding patches. This is what he says in reply:

“Pale man, Finch. I made these for you, to celebrate your bond with my sisters.” His boyish, honest smile reaches her spirit.

Finch opens the pouch and takes out four patches made of soft leather. Each has an embroidered symbol. Shonali picks his: the one with the symbol of the sun, signifying how his wisdom brightens the sky.

“For Charlotte, I chose the woven basket for her trader’s skill in collecting and trading resources, and her ability to provide for the tribe.”

Finch admires the fine, colorful needlework of this fabulous warrior.

For Gayatri, the symbol on the patch is a paintbrush, for her skill at inventing and creating. And for Adelheid, the proud Teshoni warrior sewed a totem depicting her skill as a builder.

“These are perfect, Shonali. Thank you.” He kisses her. To move away from her bashfulness, Shonali tells him how the tradition of matching patches among the Teshoni began long ago with the story of two lovers, Nahalo and Aiyana.

“What symbol will you pick for your own patch, Shonali?”

Eyes wide, fumbling for an answer, her desire for him makes her pull him to her cabin. For now, she’ll pick a spear.

In book 3, he gives her the spear (pun intended!)

Takeko Nakano

Takeko Nakano

Tiffans!

Check out the determined Takeko Nakano from Prospector Finch’s Earthly Adventures!

Takeko

It’s true that Tiffany calls her ‘Nakano Takeko’ in true Japanese style. Well, I like first names to actually be the first in the name.

Anyway, there’s an incredible scene in Star People where Takeko fights Finch’s Regulators.

The three Regulators now converge on her. What happens during this fight is something none of them ever saw before. Instead of dealing her own blows, Takeko maneuvers around the three men and makes them hit each other. One moment, Browne squeezes her against his chest so that Coogan can punch her face. At the last instant, Takeko back-kicks Browne between the legs making him bend over and receive Coogan’s fist. The ninja kicks his legs away and makes the big Regulator fall. In a swift motion, she then sweeps Coogan’s feet from under him. When the third Regulator punches down, Takeko blocks him and raises Coogan’s fist to his face.

Epic!
